Bill

Despite of the wide variety the word bill has, in legal terminology we can distinguish two meanings.
  1. Bill as a proposed statute which is going to be discussed in Parliament. When it finally is enacted, then it becomes an act. Spanish: Proyecto ley.
  2. Bill as an act,  although it is not exaclty the same. Bill has clauses, sub-clauses and paragraphs, whereas acts are constituted by sections, sub-sections and paragraphs. E.g.: Bill of Rights 1689.
